Prior St, Lake Conjola
Architect/Design:Collins. W. Collins
Type:New Build
Layout: 7 Beds/4 Bath
Duration: 9 Months
Originally built in 2008, this beautiful South coast home was sadly destroyed in the January 2020 bushfires. The left-over debris was cleared and the block was completely stripped back to its original footings to restart the build.
The client chose to keep the original designs in the rebuild, with new fixtures and finishes to create a new and updated look.
This large, slopped block allowed for a total of 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms to be spread across 3 split levels. On the middle floor, a beautiful open kitchen and living area opens to a huge, tiled balcony with stunning northern views of Lake Conjola.
The house is externally lined with a mixture of different claddings giving the house some great character. Brick veneer on the ground floor and a combination of fibre cement weatherboards and vertical sheets to cover the remainder of the timber frame. Neutral colours finish off the exterior to give it that coastal feel.
The roof lines are also a great feature of this house. 5 separate skillion roofs make up the shape of the roof and all sheeted with a Cliplok colour bond roof.
The internals are fitted with timber floorboards in the main living areas, carpet in the bedrooms and soft tile finishes in the bathrooms.
