This iconic family home was designed by Interior Architects and Designers, Tom Mark Henry.
The ground floor was completely gutted and extended to the boundary line to obtain additional floor space. A wider, open plan kitchen, living and dining area was achieved, connecting to a beautiful new open courtyard and rear access car port. On the ground floor, what was once a living room was converted into a guest room and study, and the original bedroom was split in half to build a laundry and bathroom. The addition of a second floor, provided the growing family with an additional two generous bedrooms, another bathroom and cleverly using the roof space to provide ample storage.
Carefully selected, were unique, natural and textured finishes such as natural clay rendered walls, limestone bench tops, and terrazzo and marble tiles throughout the bathrooms. A highlight would have to be the seven skylights placed throughout the living areas to create natural light throughout this small space, as well as the staircase with a powder coated steel balustrade.
